HG Rasikendra dasa was born to south Indian immigrants in Singapore. He  became exposed to Srila Prabhupada’s book when he was about 12 years old, after his eldest sister purchased the Bhagavad Gita As It Is and a complete set of Srimad Bhagavatam.

Rasikendra dasa came to Texas in January 1992 to pursue his graduate studies in engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. Shortly thereafter, he met devotees for the first time on the university campus. Enthused and encouraged by their saintly association of these devotees from the Dallas ISKCON temple, he developed a friendship with them and started changing and frequenting the temple.

He met his spiritual master, Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami in 1992. He moved into the Dallas devotee community in 1994 and received first initiation in Dallas in January 1995 and received brahminical initiation in Houston, in May 1996.

Rasikendra dasa is married to Padaduli devi dasi, also a disciple of Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami. Their marriage was arranged and presided over by their spiritual master Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami in Dallas during Govardhana Puja/Diwali celebrations in Nov 1996.

After receiving his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, Rasikendra dasa was employed as a faculty there. He and his wife moved to Houston in March 2006 after he was ordered a job there. Their daughter Tamalpriya was born in January 2008.

At present Rasikendra dasa is the Executive Vice President for an AI startup company in Silicon Valley and resides with his family close to the Houston ISKCON temple.  He manages Tamal Krishna Goswami Memorial Foundation which continues the sacred legacy of Goswami Maharaj by printing and distributing his books. He takes care of Tulsi devi at ISKCON of Houston. He leads fundraising initiatives for various IKSCON projects, actively participates in Bhakti Vriksha programs, outreach programs and initiatives to spread Srila Prabhupada’s teachings to the masses.
